Welcome to Introduction to Trademark Law!


This course aims to introduce students to the basics of trademark law, including its purpose, scope, and significance in protecting intellectual property and supporting fair competition and consumer protection in the marketplace. This is an introductory course, this means that a deeper understanding of trademark law requieres a more advanced program and further study.

Through a combination of lectures, case studies, and practical exercises, students will learn about the trademark law principles, the purpose of trademark law, the general regulatory framework that makes the US trademark law system, and the steps involved in registering and obtaining trademark protection. 

The educational journey commences with a series of  crafted lectures that aim to outline the salient features of trademark law. These informative sessions will cover the rationale behind trademark protection and dissect its broader implications for commerce and industry.  

Here, participants will walk through each step of the trademark acquisition process, gaining a nuanced understanding of the complexities involved in securing trademark rights. At the end, we expect to increase your interest for the fascinating world of trademark law!

Important: The course has been design so that each lectures builds upon the prior, therefore it would be preferable to follow the lectures in order.
